Chris knows that we are a nation of immigrants, and that for generations, immigrants have been vital to our country’s success. Chris is a leading voice for comprehensive immigration reform, and was outspoken against the Trump Administration’s cruel policies, his nationalist, anti-immigrant rhetoric, and his proposal to build a wall along the southern border. Chris has also been a champion for DREAMers, and he has fought Republican efforts to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.
In response to President Trump’s Muslim ban, Chris didn’t just raise his voice in opposition – he acted. He authored the NO BAN Act, legislation that would repeal the President’s ban on families from entering the United States based on their religion.
