Chris believes that human rights are women’s rights and women’s rights are human rights. Throughout his career, he has made it a priority to fight for women in Delaware and throughout the country.
Chris is a strong supporter of Roe v. Wade, and he believes that decisions about a woman’s health – including pregnancy – should be left to her and her doctor. As a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, Chris has successfully fought Republican efforts to defund Planned Parenthood, gut the Title X family planning program, and take away women’s rights in Delaware and across the country.
Chris is also a leading supporter of important legislation to ensure women have the rights, freedoms, and opportunities they deserve, including:

- The Violence Against Women Act
- The Women’s Health Protection Act
- The Healthy Families Act
